Lyondell Chemical Company/ARCO Chemical Company, Channelview, Texas

Contech provides process automation services through a long-term alliance contract for ongoing projects requiring specialized I&E engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, maintenance, turnaround, and process analyzer systems services at two Houston area petrochemical complexes.   Contech has provided specialized services for these facilities on multiple projects since 1981.

ARCO Chemical Company, Channelview, Texas

Contech completed the PO/SM 1 Control Systems Retrofit Project to convert existing electronic controls to a new Rosemount System 3 DCS system.   Contech provided turnkey project management, detailed engineering and design, procurement, DCS system configuration, construction coordination, and hot transfer.  The overall project budget was $3.5 million of which Contech’s services amounted to $3.1 million.  The project was successfully completed in August 1990.
